The Reggio Emilia Approach
Founded by Loris Malaguzzi, The Reggio Emilia approach is an educational philosophy that views children as resourceful and resilient. Classrooms are designed to look like homes that invite children to learn through play. The curriculum is based on the interests and projects of the children. “The Hundred Languages of Children” is a poem written by Malaguzzi. It is the basis for Reggio Emilia schools. Children communicate in many ways, verbal and non-verbal! They are constantly building their understanding of the world with energy and curiosity.
